Taverna was one of the few restaurants in Flagstaff which was open on Christmas Eve, so we made a reservation. Ended up being a stroke of good fortune and can't wait to go back. The staff was super nice, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was pleasant. Thanks so much Taverna staff for working the holiday!

Stopped by for a quick lunch at this Mediterranean place. We enjoyed the two salads we shared for four people. Everything was fresh and tasty plus portions are big. Definitely a must try if you are by Flagstaff. Space is clean with an open kitchen. Bathroom is equally clean so that says a lot for them making sure all is clean. The staff were great too; friendly and helpful with answering questions about their menu.

Wow...found this on Yelp and believed the great reviews....but wow...really excellent! Dropped in on a quiet Wednesday night and was greeted immediately by a friendly and helpful young man who was their host. Seated immediately near their fireplace lounge that looks amazing! We were greeted immediately and given water and within a few minutes our server greeted us and answered our first time questions. They accommodated our special request on dressing for the Greek salad and brought their amazing messa appetizer which was incredible and huge and delicious! Then she recommended a few things and we were thrilled with our orders. I had the Chicken Santorini which was absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend it because the risotto was incredible!!!! My uncle had the tavern burger which he said was excellent and my spouse had the grilled chicken pita which was also delicious!! What an experience!! Thank you!! Textbook perfect experience!!!!

We needed a large table and this place fit the bill. I wasn't into the menu but everyone liked it. The stuffed dates were tasty, good and plentiful calamari. The salads and bowls were gigantic! Risotto and parm dishes were also good. Service was great. The bill (which I'd read about) was outrageous and prevented us from eating out in Flagstaff altogether - read the rules online about what's happening so you can plan your meal.

Great spot off the Route 66 for Mediterranean food. Lots were also ordering pizza. Lots of space for big groups.

OMG! Stopped by here cause it was close walking distance to the hotel I'm staying and I love Mediterranean food. I got the Athenian pizza and Greek salad. It was probably the best pizza and best salad I HAVE EVER HAD. Tons of flavor, fresh and delicious, everything you want from this type of food. The restaurant is very nice and clean as well. Briar my server was great! Super friendly and attentive and topped off my experience! If you have never been here just go!!

This Mediterranean spot is a little pricey and they charge an 8% surcharge on the bill. Our server said it was because the minimum wage law in Flagstaff forces higher wages (currently $18/hr) and it is passed on to the consumer. None of it goes to the servers. Despite this, the food was absolutely delicious and fresh. We were greeted early and had a great server. We ordered: - Mezze - a selection of housemade spreads, including: tunisian harissa hummus, hummus, and tzatziki - served with grilled pita and fresh veggies - Greek Salad - mesclun greens, heirloom tomato, kalamata olives, cucumber, onion, bell pepper, pepperocinis, feta, greek dressing, Add Chicken, Hold the Feta (daughter said this salad was very delicious!) - Souvlaki - 2 skewers, one chicken and one beef, lemon roasted potatoes, greek salad, pita, tzatziki sauce (I looooved the lemon roasted potatoes. The meat was grilled well and tender inside. The salad is delicious and full of fresh veggies, olives, pepperocinis, and herbs - this was so filling and good!) - 3 Little Pigs Fired Pizza - house fennel sausage, pepperoni, calabrese, mozzarella There are plenty of booths and tables inside. There's a men's and women's restroom for customers.

We were treated to top-notch service first by Cody, then Ben, then finally Tai. Food was VERY good: Bacon-Wrapped Dates, Greek Salad and Calamari. Yes, they do have a surcharge but I knew about it in advance, having read the on-line reviews before leaving home last week. (I live in another state.) We had three hours of friendly service, a martini, four beers, two glasses of wine, dates, salad and calamari. With taxes, tip and surcharge, we spent less than $140 and created new memories. I doubt that we'll return to Flagstaff but, if you visit Flagstaff -- especially if you're visiting your kid at Northern Arizona U -- I recommend having drinks and dinner here. No, it's not cheap. But you get quality food, quality booze and top-notch service.
